I have always been curious about how things work.
That curiosity started early, looking up at the sky and learning about missions like Voyager. The idea that a spacecraft built by humans could leave Earth, travel beyond the planets, and continue its journey into interstellar space still amazes me. There is something inspiring about exploring the unknown, whether it is the edge of our solar system or the most remote places on Earth.
That curiosity naturally led me towards technology.
I work in technology, building and improving systems that help organisations operate better. Along the way, I developed a particular passion for cybersecurity. I enjoy understanding how systems work, thinking about where things can go wrong, and finding ways to make technology safer and more resilient. For me, cybersecurity is a fascinating field that combines problem solving, curiosity, and continuous learning.
Outside of technology, I love travelling and experiencing places that feel a little different. I have a slightly unusual obsession with cold weather. Give me snow, mountains, and subzero temperatures, and I’m happy. Beaches are nice, but I’ll choose a frozen landscape any day.
I love the mountains, but I don’t mind the ocean when the destination is worth it. I would happily cross the Drake Passage again for another chance to visit Antarctica. The Drake Shake? Bring it on.
Photography is how I capture the places I visit and the moments I don’t want to forget. Music is another creative outlet, whether it is drums, piano, or guitar.
I’m fascinated by things that push the limits of what humans can create: spacecraft, fighter jets, Formula 1 cars, technology, and the engineering behind them.
And when I’m not exploring the real world, I’m probably exploring a virtual one. Civilization has taught me many things, including the importance of strategy, patience, and the dangerous phrase: “just one more turn.”
